Born to Nevisian parents soulful Jazz, gospel & blues singer & song-writer Denise Gordon has performed on the international Jazz scene over the last decade. Her inspiration stems from the gospel music of her Caribbean roots, which places her unequivocally in the mainstream of the afro-american musical tradition.

She has toured throughout the larger concert halls of Europe singing jazz and Rhythm ’n’ Blues, has performed at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Jubilee, T in the Park & Edinburgh Festival and gave an acappella performance for the late Pope
John Paul II before an audience of a quarter of a million.….

Following invitations from friends & music family of the New Orleans Jazz scene today Denise was also delighting audiences  on the other side of the pond, amongst others at  the French Quarter and the Jazz & Heritage Festivals
In the UK Denise has worked with the internationally acclaimed James Taylor Quartet performing at Glastonbury Festival on the Jazz World stage and T in the Park. she is also a former member of the acapella group, Black Voices from Birmingham

In mainland Europe she has recorded and performed frequently with world-class jazz virtuosos and this year re-joined forces together with Thomas l'Etienne and Uli Wunner appearing at Ascona Jazz adding the Caribbean ingredient to this hot Gumbo Carioca recipe....
